Marya Hage, then aged 68, was a psychologist living in Minneapolis, Minnesota on September 11, 2001. She was a volunteer with the American Red Cross who helped counsel survivors in the aftermath of natural and manmade disasters. Within hours of the terrorist attacks on 9/11, she headed to Red Cross headquarters in St. Paul to see how she could help.

When the first plane hit, he was on a New Jersey PATH Train that had stopped at the base of the towers.
