The business executive, who was standing in the shadow of the towers when the second plane hit, still struggles with some depression as a result of what he saw that day.
On September 11, 2001, the 55-year-old was on his way to work as a chief operating officer of a fitness center design and management company that ran several gyms in the World Financial Center (buildings that bookended the World Trade complex). When the first plane hit, he was on a New Jersey PATH Train that had stopped at the base of the towers.
